A call for prayer!

April 4, 2013

Our time under the Steel Bridge last Easter Sunday was a time in which God brought us back full-circle. Many of the friends who we met when we first began Church Under the Bridge almost six years ago were with us, many of whom we had not seen in some time so it was such a blessing to reconnect.  We believe their presence with us was sovereignly directed by God.

Upon arriving under the Steel Bridge on Sunday, we were met by two Portland Park Rangers who informed us that this would be the last time we would be allowed to gather in this location for Church Under the Bridge.  We do not see this as a threat to what God is desiring to accomplish through CUB, but more of a shifting and restructuring by His Spirit in how He wants to accomplish His purposes through us and in us.

Please join us in prayer as we follow God in this process. We will be meeting with Portland city officials soon to discus further what our options may be and we certainly are petitioning God as we look to Him and Him alone as our teacher and guide.

Thank you to ALL who have been an active part in Church Under the Bridge through fellowship, service, prayer, and financial support during the past six years.  God’s love and mercy have been demonstrated and many we have met under the Steel Bridge have been touched by Christ’s passionate love for them; that we know will remain.

What we know remains for us is our all-knowing, all-sufficient, all-powerful God and it is His faithfulness that we stand on now.  Our desire is to bear much fruit for Christ’s glory.  Where and how this is accomplished we leave in God’s faithful hands, being fully convinced that He will show us His way as we seek Him first.    We give thanks to our Father who has lavished us with His gracious loving provision, which has allowed us to abundantly pour Him out on those He has brought to Church Under the Bridge.   God is unchanging.

John 15:16

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
